Located in the Brookfield Place Sydney tower lobby at 10 Carrington Street, Roots is a large-scale sculptural artwork by Tracey Deep, spanning over seven meters in length and comprised of over 500 hand-formed aluminum rods finished with an ochre rub that is hand-applied to create a natural appearance.
About the Artist
Australian artist Tracey Deep is renowned for her incredible floral sculptures. Traditionally working with natural and organic materials Deep was engaged in 2022 and worked with UAP to create a custom piece which transformed her natural style into a permanent installation. Deep developed the concept for Roots which was inspired by Wynyard Park as a way of connecting the community with its surrounding landscape.
