Brookfield Properties India organized its first annual Pride March to celebrate and support the LGBTQIA+ community.
The Pride March 2023 celebrated our commitment to inclusive, diverse, and equitable workplaces through multiple social and cultural activities. This initiative reinforces our culture of collaboration for LGBTQIA+ employees and allies, valuing and respecting individuals from all backgrounds.
With more than 2,300 registrations and 1,500 participants across five cities walking along, it was a celebration of diversity, inclusion, and equality. The campuses were painted with vibrant colors of pride, accompanied by jukebox tunes and brass band beats. It served as a reminder that every individual deserves respect, dignity, and equal treatment. Taking a long-term approach to societal change, we announced an innovative initiative in collaboration with the Pride Circle Foundation: PrideED is designed to provide students with opportunities to work on projects that promote LGBTQIA+ inclusion. Our fellowship program has already attracted talented students, and we intend to make significant investments in order to support their endeavours.
