The Gilbert

The Gilbert / One Lackington are being developed as extensive shared work and social space, which will celebrate the eccentricities of the original building. Although focused on the working lifestyles of the present day, the building has a story to tell. Designed as a private members club by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in 1930, he also designed national landmarks the Tate Modern, Liverpool Cathedral, St Pancras Hotel, Battersea Power Station and the iconic red telephone box. The Gilbert / One Lackington occupies a prominent position on Finsbury Square and is close to both Moorgate and Liverpool Street Stations, both of which will benefit from the delivery of Crossrail. The major refurbishment of the property is planned to be completed in 2021.
