Exhibition: Croissant by Ibrahim Shuaib
January 22 - April 30, 2026
Brookfield Place Calgary

Brookfield Place Calgary set the stage for the unveiling of Croissant, an exhibition by the third 315 Artist in Residence, Ibrahim Shuaib.
Part of an ongoing series of self-discovery, this large-scale work explores collective memory and the stories objects carry, where culture, spirituality, and the passage of time intersect.
Central to the series is the use of traditional rugs as a canvas. In Ibrahim’s Islamic heritage, these rugs witness daily life, prayer, gatherings, and reflection. They become companions and maps of personal history, creating a dialogue between personal evolution and deep cultural heritage.
Croissant visualizes how identity is formed through continuous growth across time, representing Ibrahim’s journey in the 315 Artist in Residence program at Bankers Hall.
We invite tenants, downtown visitors, and art lovers to stop by, take a moment, and experience Croissant. The exhibition is now on display in the James K. Gray Galleria at Brookfield Properties Calgary until the end of April.
