Brookfield Place Perth

The Kids Research Institute has been changing lives and making breakthroughs for 35 years – a milestone celebrated at Government House.
Formerly known as ‘The Telethon Kids Institute’, the centre is one of WA’s largest and most respected research institutes in Australia.
It was initially founded to put children at the centre of medical discovery – led by Founding Director Professor Fiona Stanley AC and Founding Chair Professor Louis Landau AO.
It became WA’s first dedicated child health research institute, bringing basic scientists, clinical researchers and epidemiologists together under one roof.
Over 35 years, that vision has driven breakthroughs that prevent disease, improve treatments and give children the chance to have brighter, healthier futures.
The Kids Research Institute Australia undertake world leading research encompassing First Nations health, children’s cancer and chronic and severe diseases, and mental health and wellbeing.
