Julie Cockburn is known for transforming found objects and vintage photographs into intricate contemporary artworks. Trained as a sculptor at Central Saint Martins, she combines embroidery, collage, and painterly techniques to rework archival images, revealing new narratives and interpretations.
Cockburn has exhibited internationally, with works held in collections including the Yale Center for British Art and the Wellcome Collection.
