The sneaker brand with a cult following is expanding its brick-and-mortar footprint.

Italian fashion brand Golden Goose has partnered with Brookfield Properties to bring its signature street-smart style to Oakbrook Center in Illinois.

Founded in 2000 by Venetian designers Alessandro Gallo and Francesca Rinaldo, the fashion lifestyle brand mixes American urban chic with Italian sartorial traditions, offering ready-to-wear, accessories, and footwear.

Best known for its collection of scuffed-up sneakers with an iconic star — including the Purestar, Superstar, and Mid-Star — that are popular with celebrities and influencers, each pair of Golden Goose tennis shoes is handmade and hand-distressed in Venice, Italy, giving them a vintage vibe.

Despite their worn-in look, Golden Goose fashion sneakers are crafted from Italian leather, embellished with luxe fabrics, and personalized according to customer preferences. According to a recent study conducted by McKinsey & Company, customers want personalization throughout their interactions with a retailer — with multiple, personalized touchpoints that enable them to allocate their time and money according to their preferences.

The new Golden Goose store is one of many exciting new retailers opening their doors at Oakbrook Center, which continues to build upon its reputation as a luxury retail destination while setting the standard as a marketplace of the future.
