A traditional holiday shopping center experience involves waiting in line to share wish lists and snap memorable photos with Santa Claus. But what if we told you we can offer so much more? At Brookfield Properties, we've got you and your customers covered. This holiday season, we’re leading the Christmas category, offering the most unique, first of their kind, and jolliest of Santa experiences.

Brookfield Properties partnered with Portable North Pole, an online platform specializing in creating personalized Santa videos, to offer an exclusive sleigh ride experience at Brookfield Properties partnered with Portable North Pole, an online platform specializing in creating personalized Santa videos, to offer an exclusive sleigh ride experience at Water Tower Place in Chicago, Illinois. The sleigh ride, which is the first and only one of its kind in the country, offers children and adults a taste of what it’s like to be Santa on Christmas Eve. A beautifully constructed sleigh takes visitors on a trip through the night sky, flying through the Northern Lights and exploring cities such as New York and Chicago. Sleigh riders are able to relive their experience and share it with others via a recorded video sent directly to their email. After experiencing the sleigh ride, children have the opportunity to meet with Santa and his elves and families can purchase digital downloads of their photos.

Where does Santa relax after a long sleigh ride? In his refurbished 1964 Airstream Land Yacht, of course. At Oakbrook Center in Oak Brook, IL, guests can enter the Airstream, located on the property's lawn and decked out with a full Santa-themed living room set, for some quality one-on-one time with Father Christmas. After entering the Airstream and meeting Santa, visitors exit into a tent where they can retrieve their holiday photos and further experience the magic of Christmas.

The Airstream has proven to be an industry game changer for various reasons. While traditional Santa meet-and-greets involve long and rowdy lines of visitors, the Airstream offers a private setting where Santa can give each child the attention they deserve. Unlike traditional Santa sets, the Airstream is easy to install (it just wheels onto and off of the property) and can be used year-long for various promotional activities. The red vinyl that is reserved for Christmas season can be swapped out, and the inside of the structure can be easily redesigned and repurposed for pop-ups or other forms of experiential marketing.

‘Santagram’ holographic window display

Shoppers at Fashion Show in Las Vegas, Nevada are invited to partake in the United States debut of the "Twas the Light Before Christmas" hologram holiday experience. The Santa-inspired holographic display, created by London-based experiential agency, Cinimond Studio, features an inside look as Santa Claus delivers presents across the night sky. Visitors to the display are thrilled by Santa’s warm and colorful interactions and entertaining antics, making it a holiday holographic experience to remember.

At our centers throughout the United States, shoppers are invited to bring their furry friends for a picture with Santa. This event is a great way to include shoppers whose pets are very much a part of their families and deserve a spot in their holiday photo. Opportunities like this are just one example of how Brookfield Properties aims to include everyone - from human to pet - in their events.
