Pawan Kakumanu

Pawan Kakumanu is a Senior Vice President heading the Strategic Finance vertical at Brookfield Properties in India.

In this role, he oversees the organization’s financial strategy, including corporate restructuring and acquisitions, as well as investor relations.

He brings over 16 years of experience in finance to his current position.

Prior to joining Brookfield Properties, Pawan worked with prominent organizations such as The Phoenix Mills Ltd., MF Global, HDFC Securities, Alchemy Share and Stock Brokers and Goldman Sachs. He has played a crucial role in several marquee transactions, enabling a total of c. $1bn in equity capital investment in Indian real estate, including the establishment of India’s first retail real estate-focused platform

Pawan holds a B.Tech in Mining Engineering from IIT Dhanbad and an MBA in Finance and Operations from IIM Lucknow.
