Mark Kostic

Mark Kostic is Senior Vice President, Asset Management of U.S. retail business at Brookfield Properties. In this role since 2021, he plays a key role in the establishment and oversight of asset management duties for the portfolio encompassing over 130 regional mall and high-street assets.

Before joining the company’s retail business, Mark spent over 10 years with Brookfield in New York City, most recently overseeing the Forest City New York office and retail portfolio. Prior to this, he spent several years leading asset management duties for Brookfield Place New York and Manhattan West, together totaling more than 15 million square feet. He joined Brookfield in 2011 with the U.S. office division, rotating across multiple disciplines during that time such as investments, leasing, and development, in addition to asset management. Mark was one of the lead dealmakers that secured the 50,000-square-foot Peloton studios flagship at Manhattan West, which achieved the Real Estate Board of New York’s 2018 “Deal of the Year” honors.

Mark graduated with a BBA in finance and a concentration in real estate from Temple University in Philadelphia. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
