Nick Ozich Headshot

 

Nick is Executive Vice President of Development and Property in Australia. He is responsible for leading the property and development operations across Western Australia, as well as overseeing the Brookfield Properties national mixed-use and office development business and design team.

The Brookfield Properties managed Western Australian office portfolio spans over 235,000 square metres of NLA across six assets: Brookfield Place 1 & 2, 235 St Georges Terrace, 11 Mounts Bay Road, One The Esplanade, and Nine The Esplanade. Brookfield also owns a 50% share in the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC). Nick has played a key role in the acquisition, development, and repositioning of these properties.

Nick is currently leading the development of the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre new waterfront precinct with an estimated end value of in excess of $3b AUSD. In addition, he oversees a pipeline of four future office developments in Perth, totaling ~200,000 square metres.

Prior to joining Brookfield Properties, Nick held various roles with Multiplex and Lendlease in both Australia and the U.K., gaining an appreciation for the impact high-quality property developments can have on a city’s culture. Since returning to his hometown of Perth, Nick has been able to put this passion into action, playing a key role in the development of the award-winning Brookfield Place precinct, a mixed-use which includes two landmark premium commercial towers, four heritage buildings, luxury retail and F&B precinct with an end value of $1.5b AUD. He also played a pivotal role in the acquisition and build-out of Brookfield’s interest in the Elizabeth Quay precinct including One The Esplanade anchored by Chevron and Nine The Esplanade anchored by INPEX and EY.

Nick holds a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Western Australia and a postgraduate degree in Project Management from Curtin University. He previously served on the Property Council of Australia’s WA Divisional Council and is currently an adviser to the Perth Airport Property Committee providing strategic direction to the board for the development and management of their significant real estate portfolio.
