Kristen Pate is responsible for the placement and management of all lines of insurance and third-party risk transfer structures for all sectors within Brookfield Properties’ North American portfolio. In addition, Kristen serves as General Counsel for GGP, a retail real estate business.
Kristen joined the organization in 2005 as a member of the commercial real estate legal team focused on litigation and distressed tenant workouts. She was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2018, leading Legal Leasing, Risk Management and Insurance.
Kristen holds a Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University Law Center and a bachelor’s from Louisiana State University. She is the fundraising chairperson for ReNew Communities, a non-profit focused on providing housing, job and mentoring support for residents of North Chicago, Illinois.
