Matt Elsesser is President of Commercial Development for Brookfield Properties and is responsible for all mixed-use projects across North America. Currently, he’s leading an active pipeline of over 2 million square feet of office space, 4,000 multifamily units, and 1,000 build-for-rent residential units.
Matt joined Brookfield Properties from Forest City where he worked his way up from an Analyst to Chief Development Officer, overseeing large mixed-use and master-planned communities including The Yards in Washington DC, Pier 70 in San Francisco, and Central Park in Denver.
Matt is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Finance and sits on the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) advisory board in Cleveland, Ohio. Matt resides in Cleveland with his wife and their four children.
