About the work
In the artwork’s totality, the works represent the cycle of life in the Stirling Ranges, Western Australia. Individually they depict the artist, Kate Elsey's, interpretation of four seasons. Elsey visited the Ranges during the different seasons and said there is a dramatic change of colour and temperature from one season to the next and wanted to illustrate this in each painting.
