A mid-winter celebration of installations and programming

Each year, the Winter Lights festival at Brookfield Place transforms the precinct with a showcase of light installations, projections and entertainment to brighten the winter nights in the CBD.

The 2019 festival was a circus-themed creation of art and light with highlights including the show stopping circus projections by Electric Canvas, interactive blossoming flowers ‘Florescentia’ a collaboration between Zara Pasfield and Renzo B. Larriviere, a selection of Angus Muir’s artworks including the immersive world of UV Spaghetti and Mountain of Light in addition to ‘Aerial Performances’ and ‘Rise’ by Fliptease, ‘Ice Imps’ and ‘Roller Skater Glitz’ by Beth Sheldon.

Brookfield Place’s award-winning restaurants and bars also participate, with special extended festival trading hours, kid-friendly menus and food trucks.
