Produced by ArtBridge, and presented in partnership with Arts Brookfield, this exhibition is part of City Canvas, an initiative of the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs.

Alive with Us/Vivo com Nós is a tribute to Black victims of deadly brutality, this exhibition imagines the future lives that Trayvon Marin, Sandra Bland, Agatha Felix, and Michael Brown were deprived of leading. Alexandre Keto strives to “use art as an accessible tool that enables direct intervention, opening new horizons.”

This artwork is located at the Grace Building construction fence on 6th Avenue, between 42 and 43rd Streets.

Having grown up in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Alexandre Keto‘s art is influenced by Samba, his spiritual Orisha worship, and by American graffiti. In the past decade, Alexandre Keto has completed more than 1,000 murals and paintings in over 21 countries, collaborating with The United Nations, The United States Consulate, The Brazilian Embassy, and Doctors Without Borders, spreading his message of community in overlooked neighborhoods and sections of the world.
