Bringing a vibrant Halloween experience to our local communities and raising money for charity with pumpkin painting!
This Halloween season, we were excited to celebrate The Great Pumpkin Experience at Ridgedale Center, The SoNo Collection, Ballston Quarter, and The Shoppes at Carlsbad. On top of partnering with local artists we also raised money for local charities. Artists were commissioned to paint large, vibrant and sculptural pumpkins that shoppers could engage with as fun, memorable photo-ops while remaining safely socially distanced. Shoppers also enjoyed a gift with purchase, a take-home pumpkin painting activity.
Lastly, 25 hand-painted pumpkins were sold by each artist, with all of the proceeds going to local charities.
Thanks to Fox News for covering our event. Read more about The Great Pumpkin Experience!
Meet the artists
In California at the The Shoppes at Carlsbad, Laurie Nasica, a French-born and raised painter who resides locally in San Diego, partnered with us on The Great Pumpkin Experience. Her favorite processes are the laborious ones of crafting things by hand, into something beautiful. Follow her on Instagram @laurienasica.
An artist with roots both in the U.S. and Mexico, Natalie Jo Rogers was the perfect partner for Ballston Quarter. She is a multidisciplinary artist, inspired by the bold color and strong geometric designs that are dominant in much of Mexican culture. Enjoy her work on Instagram @nat_jo_art.
At Ridgedale Center, we were proud to host Alicia Danzig. She works at LULU, Creative Design Collective, based out of Minneapolis, MN. Her work has been featured in Elle Décor Magazine and Martha Stuart magazine. Follow her @colorgypsy.
The SoNo Collection was excited to add Marco Santini, an award-winning NYC-based artist, to the ever growing community of artists that we have collaborate with at this property. He is known for drawing inspiration from inclusion, positivity, and language. Find out more information about Marco on Instagram, @_marco_santini
